School of Japan Studies - Dual Degree Programs
We have established Dual Degree Programs (DDP) with the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan)(UK) and the University of Melbourne (Australia).Under this arrangement SJS students can complete a second bachelor’s degree at UCLan or the University of Melbourne following an extensive period of study abroad.

| 1 year | Enter SJS. Receive basic information about DDs. | Take a short English course at the UCLan Summer School (Option). | Take IELTS test (or another approved English score). |
| 2 year | Spring Orientation session and application | Take a short English course at the UCLan Summer School (Option). |

| 3 year | Gain TUFS credits in preparation for departure. Pre-departure preparations (UCLan application, course registration, visa application, housing application etc.). | Depart for Preston, UK in September. | At UCLan |
| 4 year | At UCLan. Graduate from UCLan in June. Return to TUFS. |
|
Complete the graduation thesis and graduate from TUFS in March (or delay graduation until the end of your 5th year). |
